Still January....

I got up at the butt-crack of dawn with Joshua AGAIN this morning. I made him breakfast and packed something for his lunch today.

He's been doing really good with not eating out so much on his lunch breaks. He wants to start saving a lot of money because of all the economic stuff going on. It seems like everywhere you turn, people are getting laid off. It's kind of a scary thing, but I know that God is able and He is our provider! I will put all of my faith and trust in Him! Josh has been a little worried about all of this lately. He passed all three of his CDL written tests, but now comes the big deal...he has to take the DRIVING test. A guy at work let him drive the 18-wheeler home all the way from Sylacauga the other night.

They went down 280 with all those hills and red lights and stuff. I don't know how the guy in the passenger seat just sat calmly the whole time. Josh did really good, but that wouldn't matter to me! It was his first time driving one and I wouldn't have trusted my life in someone else's hands like that. I guess this guy has a lot of faith in Josh...or he was high. Lol! Josh said it was a little scary and quite intimidating, but I know it was just what he needed to have the confidence to take the test. After all, the test does cost $250 and if he fails, we will have to shell out that amount twice. I think what I am going to do for his Valentine's present, since he is stressing over this stuff so much, is save up my money to pay for his license. It will help him to keep his job, if lay offs happen, and give him a piece of mind. Instead of buying something superficial for him, like I always do, I think this will be a great idea! It's a surprise, of course, so you better not say anything to him about it!

I cant imagine driving down 280 in a big truck!! I am uncomfortable just driving my car on 280! I wish him all the luck at passing his test!

I know! I would have been scared to death! I hate 280! Btw, he did pass his test. I blog backwards. All of my most recent posts are at the bottom.
