Don't you hate when you plan something and you're sooo excited about it and it just doesn't work out? I have been talking to Josh about going to the Planetarium at BSC for months now.
We finally decided to go today because they had the certain show that I wanted. We have had this specific date set for about 2 weeks now...totally looking forward to it. Then, what do you know, Josh gets a phone call last night telling him that they need him to work today.
This should have been us...
And if that wasn't bad enough, he had to get up at 4AM!!! What a way to enjoy your Saturday, huh? This reminds me of the time we FINALLY made it to Costa's BBQ for breakfast. The story of my life. I had BEGGED Josh to take me there for breakfast for the longest time because they have different stuff like beignets, eggs benedict, poached eggs, etc. At the time, Josh was working a lot of Saturdays and the other times we just couldn't get out of bed and get going before they stopped serving breakfast. So, we get there one day, right on time...I was surprised they gave us menus. We sat down, ordered our drinks, and started to look at all the exciting food items on the menu. I noticed a police officer get up out of his seat and start walking toward us. I was wondering why he was coming straight to our table. Well, I found out real soon. The man quietly leaned over and whispered into Josh's ear that we needed to "evacuate the building". What??? You wanna know why? Because it was on fire! Yes, people...you heard me...FIRE! We stood outside the building for a few minutes, before driving back home, watching the billows of smoke fold into the air. I still can't believe, to this day, that the place caught on fire! LOL! This is the story of our lives, or so it seems. I promise you, every time we actually plan something, this is what happens. Well, not the fire, but you get the point. And people wonder why we are so random and spontaneous...it's because we have to be! We desire nothing more than to have a "schedule" to our lives. What Josh would give for an 8-5 job! But, I can't complain. I am blessed and I love my life...even though nothing in it ever happens as I expect...
