Things you didn't know about us and would be just fine without knowing...
~ We have never been swimming together and we've been married for almost five years now.
~ I don't really like root beer...unless I make it home-made. I LOVE home-made root beer!!!
~ Joshua hates massages!
~ My car is almost never clean.
~ I can't stand when people dress like "twinkies" and I have NEVER wanted a twin or desired to have twins
~ Josh and I went to get pedicures together once...and if you tell him I told you that, I am going to have to kill you. Lol!
~ It is soooo stupid when people think that the milk has automatically expired because it has today's date on it. That is a "best if sold by" date. If people could predict the exact moment that milk went bad, don't you think they would be winning the lottery or something?
~ Josh is excellent with a guitar...and he can learn to play a new song in a matter of minutes...just by listening to it.
~ The first movie that we ever watched together
was "Shrek 2"
~ I am not scared of spiders or snakes, but crickets and grasshoppers freak me out!
~ We play football in our bedroom. Seriously, we have a little, soft LSU football that we throw at each other.
~ Josh hates mayonnaise!
~ I hate salads!
~ Josh will not wear the same pair of socks twice...in the same day. Once he takes them off, even if he had them on for 30 minutes (literally) he must have new ones to put back on. I'm not kidding about this, by the way.
~ I will only eat sweets that certain people make. I am REALLY OCD about how people bake!
~ We ask people not to wear their shoes on our new carpet.
~ The restaurant we frequent the most is Chik-Fil-A
~ Joshua hates surprises, but to me there is nothing better!!!
~ We argue about who loves who the most, who gives the best presents, who cooks the best, who plays games better, etc. etc. We are always competing with each other. (This is Josh's doing, not mine)
~ I LOVE pjs!!! I wish I could just wear them everywhere!
~ We both sing in the shower...Joshua more than me.
~ My husband's nails are almost always longer than mine.
~ We have soooo many inside jokes that most of the time people have no idea what we're talking about!
~ We are both very random and OCD, though Josh would never admit it!
~ Josh takes the BEST care of me when I am sick! He does EVERYTHING for me!
~ I usually dislike foods because of their texture, not taste. Example: Mushrooms...they have a wierd spongy texture.
~ Josh likes oysters (and he loves them RAW...Ugh!). I hate oysters, but love mussels
~ My husband brushes his teeth longer and harder than anyone I know!
~I couldn't live without flip flops, but Josh only likes closed-toe shoes.
~ The clothes in my closet have to be in order by color or it will drive me crazy!
~ I used to think that Josh HAD to agree with me since we were married. While the reality is that Josh never says what I want to hear, he is sooo honest with me and I wouldn't have it any other way.
~ One of my biggest fears is public speaking! Even though we all know I am not a quiet person!
The Letter Game....
I received the letter "G" from the "Mojito Maven". Here it goes...
1. Grilled Cheese Sandwiches (with tomato soup) Doesn't this look so yummy?
2. Gum
3. Getting my teeth cleaned
4. Games (video games, board games, card games, computer games, etc. I like them all)
5. Gulab jamun (This stuff is awesome! It's an Indian dessert. It's sort of like beignets, but they are soaked in a rose flavored syrup)
6. Good restaurants/Good food
Crazy Cajuns, Surin West, Taste of Thailand, Silver Coin Indian Grille,
7. Grande Starbucks...iced white mocha, caramel macchiato, chai tea latte, to be exact
8. Going on trips (For example: Our upcoming much-needed, New orleans vacay!!!)
9. Getting Thinner
10. And last, but not least...the best thing that I love with the letter "G"...I love having the...
GREATEST HUSBAND IN THE WORLD!!!
And he loves me back...just for being me
My sis-in-law gave this bag to me for Christmas...It's a Dooney and Burke and yes, it's real. I am not sure how much it cost because I did not buy it, which feels really nice, by the way.

Wow, slacker city!
2012 brought a lot of changes to the Pierce household. I guess the biggest
one was the kids all started private school. Yes, all 5. I ...
I found this story on the internet...it's so sweet....kids never cease to amaze me....
"Last week I took my children to a restaurant. My six-year-old son had
asked if he could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said, "God is good.
God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if
Mom gets us ice cream for dessert. And Liberty and justice for all, amen."
Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby, I heard a woman
remark, "That's what's wrong with this country. Kids today don't even know
how to pray. Asking God for ice-cream. Why, I never."
Hearing this, my son burst into tears and asked me, "Did I do it wrong? Is
God mad at me?"
I held him and assured him that he had done a terrific job and God was
certainly not mad at him.
An elderly gentleman approached the table. He winked at my son and said,
" I happen to know that God thought that was a great prayer."
"Really?", my son asked.
"Cross my heart." Then in a theatrical whisper he added (indicating the
woman whose remark had started this whole thing), "Too bad she never
asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes."
Naturally, I bought my kids ice cream at the end of the meal. My son stared
at his for a moment and then did something I will remember the rest of my
life.
He picked up his sundae and without a word walked over and placed it in
front of the woman. With a big smile he told her, "Here, this is for you. Ice
cream is good for the soul sometimes, and my soul is good already."
